The Ben Hogan Learning Center is a safe, state-of-the-art facility that provides unprecedented access to a golf course for youth of all ages. It’s designed so that youth can spend time on the practice green, driving range or golf course or simply have a place where they can come inside, rest and “hang out” with their friends. This strategy is in line with one of the main goals of The First Tee of Fort Worth, which is to provide access to the game of golf across all socio-economic boundaries within our community.
The facility includes a stadium-style seating area where parents can relax while their children are participating in classes and other activities as well as a museum where visitors can learn the rich history of golf in the City of Fort Worth. The museum highlights the life and career of Ben Hogan, one of the greatest players in the history of professional golf, and features a listing of the current and past winners of the annual Fort Worth Junior Boys Tournament.
There are two classrooms located in the south end of the building that leads out onto the practice facility. Coaches will be able to utilize these rooms during inclement weather, to teach in a lecture format or show a video. The club room gives older participants the opportunity to learn the art of repairing and custom fitting golf clubs, while the swing room offers the latest in swing analysis technology.
Inspired by local professional golfer J.J. Henry and established by the Henry House Foundation, is exclusively dedicated to fun, relaxation and building strong, long lasting friendships, with two 70” television sets each equipped with XBOX 360 Kinect game systems and DIRECTV satellite television and ample seating for social networking, texting, talking and hanging around.
Ben Hogan Learning Center Spring & Summer Operation Hours – Monday-Friday 9 AM-7 PM / Saturday 9 AM-3 PM.
